- i have a friend who is 84yrs old with declining health. (declining to the point where funeral arrangements are being made). when she was 75, a mortgage company gave her a 30yr adjustable rate loan for her home knowing good and damn well that the chances of her living to be 105 were nill.

- i have an adult child that struggled her entire life until we had her tested. she takes adderall and the difference in her concentration is like night and day. she now is a magazine editor, has a bs in photojournalism, and a minor in english.

- left wing, right wing, does it REALLY matter? instead of playing the "blame game", shouldn't we be dealing with the here and now? record cold, record heat, record storms, etc..., we just need to concentrate on keeping ourselves and our neighbors safe. we ALL have to deal with the weather.

- i co-slept with my kids from day one in the hospital. it's a natural thing, and in my opinion it bonds mother and infant. there ARE some people out there that are not ready to have children, even sadder is that they have no clue how to properly take of a child.

- not all drug users shoot their kids. sounds like mom had an underlying psychiatric problem that presented itself with the pressure of raising two teenage children alone. no matter what the reason, the situation is a tradgedy.

- i am so confused here! while my kids were young, i worked at a trauma hospital, my main focus being in er and or. i was (and still am) friends with several doctors, many of whom i worked with, and i've seen both sides of the fence.
